Someone recently noticed my banner photo is outdated; until it's Update-the-Banner day, these were taken January of 2018. 😊 Y'all are free to let me know which one ya like better.
To complete and publish three novels with word counts of at least 65,000 words per book per year is at the very top of my list.
I've discovered that I work best under pressure, when there are deadlines involved. A while back, my brain heard a saying: "I have to get this done by Tuesday, because I'm the boss of me and I said so!" That made sense to me! Unless there are deadlines, I have the tendency to prolong things until next week. And next week.
So by posting deadlines and announcing that Book XYZ will be available on This Date, the work gets done.
I intend to accomplish this writing task by participating in JuNoWriMo, NaNoWriMo and completing one more book within the year. Including edit time. It's a big goal, but I'm up for the challenge!
I'm asking that my readers keep me to my plan by asking me what I've been writing lately; check my page, Books By Robyn, and keep an eye on those progress bars under each book I'm writing.
Right now, I'm averaging between 500 to 1,300 words daily, depending on the day and what it decides to hand me. These are just words I actually count, that is---words that count toward the novel I'm currently concentrating on. In reality, I write many more more words a day if I counted blogging and research notes for other writing projects.
I've attached two badges ... a 1,000 word-a-day goal & a 500-word-a-day goal. That's a goal of 1,500 words per day, kids!
